Hi! I’m Jaymes Dempsey, a photographer and photography educator. Even if you’re coming to Michigan Spaces Etc for the first time, you may already be familiar with my work; I’m the managing editor of Digital Photography School, and I also maintain JaymesDempsey.com, where I showcase my macro and nature photography while sharing tips and tricks on the art of image-making.

I’ve spent most of my life in Michigan. Over the past few years, it’s been a personal goal of mine to capture cities, streets, and landscapes around the state. I’ve occasionally strayed farther afield – see, for instance, my Chicago photographs – but the bulk of my shooting has been done in the Great Lakes State.

I hope you enjoy, and I encourage you to check back regularly for new images!
